Student Art Show
The Student Art Show takes place during Art in the Park on March 8 and 9, 2025. This exhibit celebrates the works of Hernando County students from public, private, and home schools, including Elementary, Middle, High School, and AP/College. Prizes are awarded for the best works in each age category, as well as for Sculpture media. The young artists of Hernando County are sure to surprise you!
Participate in the Student Art Show!
It is free to exhibit in the Student Art Show! Hernando County students may submit one entry. Visual arts, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, etc. are all accepted.
Download a registration form below, or fill one out when you drop off student artwork at the Arts Council office! Drop-off will take place closer to the event date in March.
To exhibit artwork in the Student Art Show :
Students must fill out a registration form (Download Entry Form Here), signed by both the student and their parent or guardian.
Students must include a display tag on the front of their artwork that includes the student’s name, school, grade, and teacher’s name. This information may be printed on a small piece of paper, approximately business card size (3.5” x 2”), and is to be attached to the front, lower right side of the picture.
Only one entry per student will be accepted.
STUDENT DROP OFF :
Students must drop off work at the Arts Council office or with their art teacher by March 4.
Drop off at the Arts Council office will be on Tuesdays, February 18, February 25, or March 4 from 1 - 4 PM. The office is located in the Brooksville Health Department building at 300 S Main Street in Brooksville.

ART TEACHER DROP OFF :
Art teachers may collect artwork from their students and bring it to Art in the Park only on Friday, March 7 from 12 PM - 6 PM. They may also drop off artwork at the Arts Council office before March 5.
Be sure to include registration forms for each student!

No. Framing is allowed, but not required. The artwork should at least arrive “ready-to-hang” and be matted with a backing, or taped well to a larger, heavier paper such as poster board.

Submitted artwork must be delivered to the Arts Council Office by Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 5 PM
Drop off address: Arts Council office in the Brooksville Health Department building at 300 S Main Street in Brooksville.
Drop off dates: on Tuesdays, February 20 and 27, and March 5 from 1 - 4 PM

Self-submitted artwork can be picked up at the end of the event at Tom Varn Park on Sunday, March 10, between 4 - 6 PM.
Teacher-submitted artwork can be picked up with your student’s art teacher.

Art installations are encouraged, but are limited to space. If you have a larger piece to display, please email us at office@hernandoarts.org to make arrangements.
