Businesses– we invite you to join us for the 40th Annual Art in the Park!

Art in the Park is an annual event dedicated to fine art, craftsmanship, and community that creates a unique opportunity and tradition for artists, collectors, and patrons of the arts. This will be our 40th annual show bringing in a diverse crowd of 6,000 attendees from Hernando County and our neighboring communities for a celebration of artistry in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Be a part of our event and interact with potential clientele at our show.

Please note that there is very limited spacing since we are a fine art show. We encourage participants to apply as soon as possible. Business spaces will come on a first come first serve basis.

Where: The show takes place at Tom Varn Park, a natural setting surrounded by beautiful oak trees in Brooksville, Florida.

When: March 8 & 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday

Business Exhibitor booth fee: $500

Booth fee due: February 1, 2025

All businesses must read and accept the Rules of Participation and Legal Agreement found below.

Rules of Participation

Please read the following carefully. Failure to comply with the rules will disqualify you from participation in Art In The Park.

  1. This is a juried fine art and craft show. All work displayed must be original and solely attributable to the single displaying artist who must be present during the entire show. NO kits, ceramic cast from molds, machine-made, commercial reproductions, or mass-produced work is allowed. Artist guarantees the accuracy of the description of the works presented and the authenticity of the work as the creation of their own hands.

  2. No political candidates or political parties.

  3. The Hernando County Fine Arts Council (HCFAC) reserves the right to reject any entry which does not meet the guidelines specified or is not representative of the work juried.

  4. Upon arrival, artists MUST CHECK IN. Photo ID is required. Registration and booth set-up will be Friday, March 12th from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Past booth spaces are not guaranteed. All spaces are pre-assigned and are FINAL. All displays must be neat and orderly, and any items not for sale must be out of sight. Water and electricity are not available. 

  5. Exhibitor must prominently display the ID card provided by the HCFAC. Participants may NOT display awards or ribbons from other shows.

  6. No exterior displays, flags, etc. outside of the tent. 

  7. By City Ordinance, animals and pets are NOT allowed in the park. Service animals only. 

  8. Exhibitors are responsible for the collection of Florida and Hernando County sales tax.

  9. All awards are at the sole discretion of the judges. Judging will begin Saturday morning. Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded at the Artists' Reception on Saturday evening.

  10. Exhibitor fees are non-refundable. Should Art in the Park be cancelled due to acts of God, fire, casualty, or other causes beyond the control of either party, then the HCFAC may offer the Exhibitor options for the use of the Exhibitor fees, including the return of all monies paid to the Arts Council. The health and safety of our exhibitors, community and council members are our highest priority. See our website for evolving direction from local and state officials.

  11. HCFAC reserves the right to ask exhibitors not complying with the stated rules to remove their exhibit with forfeiture of all fees.

  12. HCFAC reserves the right to photograph work on display for use in promotions of the Art Festival and for future promotional materials for HCFAC.

  13. Artists may only show work in categories and body of work selected by the Jury. 

  14. All work exhibited must be of the quality, category, and body of work of that shown in the images juried. 

Legal Agreement

Please read the following carefully. All vendors must sign and agree to the following.

By completing and submitting this application I agree to participate in the Art in the Park 2025 to be held in Brooksville, Florida on March 8th and 9th, 2025.

I have read Art in the Park 2025 (AITP 2025) Rules of Participation. If I am accepted to participate in AITP 2025, I agree to abide by the rules, including any changes which may be adopted and provided to me before the event. I agree for myself and my successors, heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, legal representatives, employees, agents and affiliates, and in case of a corporation, also its officers, directors and shareholders, to forever release and discharge the the Hernando County Fine Arts Council (HCFAC) and all sponsoring organizations, and each of their members, officers, directors, employees, agents, assigns, volunteers and affiliates from all claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses, suits, damages, obligations, liabilities and causes of action, whether arising out of or related to the my participation in AITP 2025.

I agree to and hereby assumes any and all risks of personal injuries to myself, including personal injury and risk of damage to my property, caused by or arising out of my involvement in AITP 2025. I hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold HCFAC harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, losses, causes of action, damages, liabilities, obligations, costs, expenses and judgments (including, without limitation, personal injury, death and damage to property) caused by my acts or omissions or failure to abide by the rules of HCFAC and arising out of the my participation in Art in the Park 2025.

If accepted, HCFAC has my permission to publish photographs or video taken of me and my booth/food truck during AITP 2025 for purposes related to promotions of the event, past or future. Acceptance is a commitment to show. No refunds will be made for cancellations or inclement weather.
